USVI Life is a companion reading app for the USVI Life blog, giving you an easy way to browse, search, and save articles about life in the U.S. Virgin Islands. This policy explains what information the app does — and does not — collect.
The short version: the app doesn’t collect any personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind.

2. Information We Collect
None. The app does not require or request:
- An account, login, or registration
- Your name, email address, or contact information
- Your location
- Access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or photo library
- Any analytics or usage tracking
3. How the App Works
The app displays public blog content by making standard, read-only requests to usvilife.com’s content API. These requests work the same way any web browser visiting usvilife.com would — no personal or device-identifying information is sent as part of using the app, beyond what’s inherent to any standard internet connection, such as your device’s IP address being visible to our web host as part of normal network communication, the same as visiting any website.
4. Data Stored On Your Device
If you save an article for offline reading, the article’s text and a link to its image are stored locally on your device using Apple’s on-device storage framework. This data:
- Never leaves your device
- Is not transmitted to us, to usvilife.com, or to any third party
- Is not backed up to any USVI Life server
- Can be removed at any time by deleting saved articles in the app, or by deleting the app itself
5. Third-Party Services
The app uses no third-party SDKs, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or tracking services of any kind. The only network communication the app performs is fetching public blog content directly from usvilife.com.
6. Sharing Articles
If you use the app’s Share feature, it opens iOS’s standard system share sheet. What happens after that — sharing to Messages, Mail, or another app — is between you and whichever destination you choose, governed by that destination’s own privacy practices, not ours. The USVI Life app itself does not collect or transmit any data as part of this feature.
7. Children’s Privacy
The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13, because the app does not collect personal information from any user.
8. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, we’ll update the date below. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
